Atlanta Look to Advance to WNBA Finals Against Washington Sunday

Dream lead the series 2-1 after Friday night’s victory

WASHINGTON– The Atlanta Dream look to close out the series with the Washington Mystics in Game 4 of the 2018 WNBA Semifinals in Washington, D.C. inside Charles E. Smith Center on George Washington’s campus Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN2 with Pam Ward, Kara Lawson and LaChina Robinson on the call.

ATLANTA DREAM PLAYOFF NOTES

The second-seeded Dream (2-1) return to action after taking the series lead with an 81-76 win over the Mystics (1-2) Friday evening. Tiffany Hayes led Atlanta in scoring with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Hayes’ performance was her first career playoff double-double. Brittney Sykes finished with 17 points, a new playoff-best.

Mystics Forward-Guard Aerial Powers stepped up in Elena Delle Donne’s absence (left knee bone bruise) and led Washington in scoring with 18 points.

Atlanta is now 6-2 all-time against Washington and 2-0 at Washington in the playoffs.

If the Dream win, it will play in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals (first time since 2013) later this week. A win will also send the Atlanta Dream to its fourth WNBA Finals appearance in 11 seasons.
