Here Are a Few Notes From Tuesday’s Game

Dream End Losing Streak With Fourth Quarter Charge

  • Entering the fourth quarter down by two points, the Dream outscored the Storm 25-10 in the quarter to end their six-game losing streak.
  • The Dream saw three players score double-digit points: Sancho Lyttle put up 22 points, Angel McCoughtry scored 18 points, and Tiffany Hayes finished with 15 points.
  • The Dream’s victory snaps a two-game losing streak against the Storm and ties the season series at one. The all-time series is also deadlocked at nine.
  • Coach Cooper’s Take: “It’s about us establishing our game all over again. We kind of went back to the drawing board a bit. These ladies are professionals. They have a love for playing for the Atlanta Dream, they love this city, they love our owners. I just challenged them and tested them on that and said ‘you’re here to play for something’. And I think we did a good job coming out and playing for the city.”
  • Player’s Take: “We just had to finish games better than before. If you watch all the games we lost we were always up until the fourth quarter. We just wanted to do something different, stick to the game plan and it worked for us today”, said Lyttle following the win.

Three Key Stats From Tuesday’s Win

  • The Dream outrebounded the Storm by a final total of 38-27 (including 16-4 on offensive rebounds). The Dream improve to 5-3 when outrebounding their opponent.
