Dreamsgiving: Giving Back to Our Atlanta Community

In partnership with SCANA Energy and Covenant House Georgia, we hosted Dream Feast: Friendsgiving — a morning of food, fun, and fellowship dedicated to supporting Atlanta’s youth. The celebration concluded with a surprise $10,000 check presentation from SCANA Energy to Covenant House Georgia.

Centered around supporting Restoring One’s Hope of Atlanta Inc., the Atlanta Dream and Dream Elite Members put together over 3,500 hygiene kits and snack packs for the fair and to be dropped off at surrounding shelters and non-profits. Kits were donated to My Sister’s House (Atlanta Mission), Gateway Center, Atlanta Children’s Shelter, and distributed throughout Woodruff Park. 

The Atlanta Dream with Comcast distributed over 100 new winter coats to students at the Boyce Ansley School, a K–5 school serving children experiencing housing insecurity, restocked the school’s food pantry for families, and the YWCA also donated STEM toys for all the students.

The Atlanta Dream partnered with Hands On Atlanta for their MLK Days of Service, contributing to packing over 60,000 meals and comfort kits for the unhoused community. This event was the finale for our Dreamsgiving series, in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and his legacy as we proudly carry a name that reflects Dr. King’s hope for a better tomorrow.
