ATLANTA (April 18, 2016) – The Atlanta Dream has named Miles Cooper as an assistant coach, completing its coaching staff for the 2016 WNBA season.  Per team policy, terms of Cooper’s contract are not disclosed.

“We are thrilled and excited to add Miles to the coaching staff,” Dream head coach Michael Cooper said.  “His experience in scouting, player development and video coordination will be a benefit and asset to the organization.”

Cooper’s duties will include developing in-season/offseason individual and team training programs, coordinating pre- and post-practice individual workouts, creating scouting reports for upcoming opponents, coordinating all video and advance scouting activities including college and overseas players in preparation for the league’s annual entry draft.

Cooper graduated from the University of Southern California, where he served as the manager of the women’s basketball program for three seasons while his father served as the head coach of the Trojans.
