Will serve as the television home of the Atlanta Dream for the seventh consecutive season

ATLANTA (April 9, 2016) – For the seventh consecutive season FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast will serve as the television home of the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, it was announced Saturday during FOX Sports Southeast’s telecast of the Atlanta Hawks-Boston Celtics NBA regular season contest.

FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast will televise a total of 17 live Atlanta Dream games: 15 home contests, a pair of road games, and an additional tape-delayed broadcast of the regular-season finale at Minnesota on Sept. 17.

FOX Sports Southeast will tip off its coverage of the 2016 Dream season on Friday, May 20 when Atlanta travels to take on defending Eastern Conference Champion, the Indiana Fever, in a 7 p.m. ET start.

The home television schedule will begin with the Dream’s opener at Philips Arena on Sunday, May 22 vs. Chicago and reigning WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne.  The contest is slated to be aired on FOX Sports Southeast, beginning at 3 p.m. ET.

Bob Rathbun will serve as the play-by-play voice of the Dream, while LaChina Robinson provides analysis. This will mark the tandem’s seventh consecutive season working together on Dream telecasts.  Angel Gray also returns as the sideline reporter for the second straight year.

Rathbun has been the FOX Sports Southeast and FOX Sports South play-by-play announcer for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks for the past 20 seasons.  Robinson, who was a four-year starter on the Wake Forest University women’s basketball team, also serves as an analyst for ACC Women’s Basketball on FOX Sports South.  Gray worked as an analyst for ESPN this past college basketball season and was a four-year starter at guard during her playing career at Florida State.

The FOX Sports regional networks serving the Southeast – FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Carolinas, FOX Sports Tennessee and FOX Sports Southeast – collectively reach more than 13 million households across seven states.  They are the television home of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Dream, Atlanta Hawks, Carolina Hurricanes, Charlotte Hornets, Memphis Grizzlies, Nashville Predators, Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans, St. Louis Cardinals, UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga, as well as the Atlantic Coast Conference, Big 12 Conference, Big East Conference, and Conference USA. Combined, the networks televise nearly 1400 live events each year.
