ATLANTA – FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast will return as the exclusive regional broadcaster of the Atlanta Dream and televise 15 of 22 Dream games during the abbreviated 2020 WNBA season. The networks’ coverage will tip off against the New York Liberty on Friday, July 31, at 7:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports Southeast and FOX Sports GO.
Dream telecasts were previously televised on the networks from 2010 to 2018.
“We are excited to re-join FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast for the 2020 WNBA season,” Dream President & General Manager Chris Sienko said. “Our goal is to offer our fans the best opportunities to view Dream games, especially during this non-traditional season, and there is no better network than our FOX Sports regional networks to take our games across Georgia and Southeast.”
The networks will utilize the league’s world feed from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where the WNBA season is taking place. A pool of broadcasters, including play-by-play announcers Leah Secondo, Ron Thulin and Sean Salisbury, and analysts Carolyn Peck, Deb Antonelli and Tiffany Greene, will call the games. Following the regular season, eight qualifying teams will participate in the traditional WNBA playoff structure.
“The Atlanta-based FOX Sports South and Southeast regional sports networks are pleased to welcome the return of the Atlanta Dream for the 2020 WNBA season,” said FOX Sports South SVP & General Manager Jeff Genthner. “The safety and health protocols that must be followed will make this a most unusual season, but we believe these same conditions will make the 2020 WNBA season a wide-open sprint that can be won by any team.”
Dream telecasts on the networks will be available through cable, satellite and over-the-top (OTT) providers across Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Games will be available on the FOX Sports GO app, along with related content on @FOXSportsSouth.
