CHICAGO – Jessica Breland earned a double-double while Renee Montgomery finished with a game-high 23 points, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Sky from earning a 77-76 come-from-behind win in Chicago.

With 10 points and 11 rebounds, Breland recorded her 19th career double-double and first of the season. She led the team in rebounds for the third time in the last four games, while Montgomery led the team in scoring for the first time this season on Wednesday. Montgomery connected on six three-point field goals on the afternoon and needs just three to reach 500 in her career.

Atlanta opened the game on a 9-0 run and finished with Tiffany Hayes’ buzzer-beater and-one to help Atlanta to a 10-point lead over the Sky. In the second quarter, Atlanta saw increased offensive efficiency, shooting 45.5 percent from the field and was able to finish with the same 10-point lead heading into halftime.

The Sky tied up the game at 70-all with less than five minutes left in the game, and the go-ahead point came from a layup from Chicago’s Stefanie Dolson with 2.3 seconds on the clock to give the Sky the 77-76 victory.

The Dream continue its three-game road trip Friday night against the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Fans can stream the game on the WSB-TV Now app.

Atlanta returns to State Farm Arena Tuesday, July 23 to host the Sparks for the second time this season. Group, mini-packs and single game tickets are available now. For more information, visit atlantadream.net or call 877.977.7729.
