Dream Face Sky in First of Three Road Contests

CHICAGO – The Atlanta Dream will attempt to start another winning streak this week as they visit the hosting Chicago Sky Wednesday, July 17. Fans can stream the game live on Twitter and Bounce (WSB-TV channel 2.2) at 12 p.m. ET.

The Dream (5-11), who open a three-game road trip Wednesday, finished its previous week with a 2-1 record at home. The Sky (9-8) enter tomorrow’s contest on a two-game win streak, defeating New York and Dallas last week.

Atlanta leads the league with 6.2 blocks per game and ranks second with 37.3 rebounds per game this season. Elizabeth Williams has the fourth-most blocks per game in the league with 1.8, while Monique Billings’ 16-rebound outing against the Sparks on July 14 brought her up to 7.0 total rebounds per game, the 13th-most in the WNBA.

The Dream continues the three-game trip at Connecticut Friday, July 19, where they will play the Sun for the fourth time this season, before moving on to Washington Sunday, July 21 to round out the road trip.

Tiffany Hayes shot 66 percent from the field and 60 percent from the arc to put up 19 points against the Sky. Angel McCoughtry went 9-15 from the field to score 21 points and help the Dream defeat Chicago 89-74 on August 3, 2018. The Dream went 2-1 against the Sky last season to improve to 18-26 all-time in the series.
