Atlanta Dream Host Las Vegas Aces Thursday
ATLANTA – The Atlanta Dream host the Las Vegas Aces Thursday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. at State Farm Arena. Fans can watch the game live on CBS Sports Network (109 – Comcast, 158 – DISH Network, 221 – DIRECTV, 643 – U-Verse).
The Dream (1-2) dominated the league in the paint in the first two weeks of the season, and enter this week with a league-high 6.7 blocks per game, with the team’s 20 total blocks ranked second in the league.
Las Vegas (1-2) enters the matchup with the second-highest three-point field goal percentage in the WNBA, shooting 38.5% from behind the arc. The Aces also lead the league with 30.7 defensive rebounds per game, and rank second with 40.7 total rebounds per game.
Dream vs. Aces
The last time these two teams met, the Dream’s 93-78 road victory against the Aces secured a No. 2 seed for the Dream in the 2018 WNBA Playoffs. Atlanta trailed 47-41 at halftime, but came back for a 15-point win led by Jessica Breland and Renee Montgomery, who had 16 points apiece.
In the previous game against the Aces on August 7, the Dream tallied a franchise-record 14 blocks in a win that clinched the team’s playoff spot. Angel McCoughtry led Atlanta with 19 points before sustaining a season-ending knee injury that has kept her sidelined through the beginning of the 2019 season.
Atlanta leads 15-9 in the series against the Aces, and 9-3 when playing in Atlanta. The Dream enters Thursday’s contest on a three game win streak against Las Vegas after going undefeated against them last season.
