Damiris Dantas Has Season-Ending Surgery

Dantas will miss the remainder of the 2018 season

ATLANTA – Atlanta Dream forward Damiris Dantas has undergone successful surgery on her right ankle, the team announced Thursday.

Dantas, a third-year player from Brazil, will miss the remainder of the regular season and the entire postseason. She played in 19 games this season and averaged 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 13.4 minutes but has sat the last 10 games due to her injury.

The Dream return to action Friday night at the Phoenix Mercury beginning at 10 p.m. ET. Fans can stream the game on WNBA League Pass.
