Atlanta Dream Training Camp: Day 1 Notebook
ATLANTA (May 5, 2019) – The Atlanta Dream held its first day of training camp on Sunday, May 5. Head Coach Nicki Collen took the team through conditioning drills in the beginning of practice, and the team worked on full court transition drills and five-on-five competition along with plenty of shooting.
The Dream saw 12 players suit up for the first day of training camp Sunday afternoon.
Returnees Imani McGee-Stafford, Jessica Breland and Monique Billings were joined by newcomers Lynetta Kizer and Marie Gülich in the front court.

In the backcourt, guards Meme Jackson and Maite Cazorla went through their first WNBA practices, getting a first look at guarding WNBA opponents as they competed alongside veterans Renee Montgomery, Alex Bentley, Brittney Sykes, Black Dietrick and newcomer Nia Coffey.
Five players saw their first day of practice in Atlanta on Sunday, as Kizer, Gülich and Coffey all donned Dream gear for the first time in their careers. Gülich ran with the first team on Sunday, subbing in for McGee-Stafford and Breland.

Veteran Angel McCoughtry was at Georgia State with her teammates rehabbing as she continues work to come back from her knee injury suffered late last season.
Tiffany Hayes, Elizabeth Williams and Haley Peters will report to camp late due to overseas commitments.
The team will be back on the court Monday morning as the coaches work in new sets.
