Atlanta Dream Sign Natisha Hiedeman

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Atlanta Dream have signed rookie guard Natisha Hiedeman to take the roster spot Alex Bentley has vacated while she fulfills her overseas commitments, playing for Belarus in the FIBA Women’s Eurobasket in Serbia.

A 5’8” guard out of Marquette, Hiedeman was the unanimous 2018-19 Big East Player of the Year and unanimous All-Big East First Team selection before becoming only the third Golden Eagle selected in the WNBA Draft.

She was drafted 18th overall by the Minnesota Lynx before a draft day trade sent her to the Connecticut Sun. Hiedeman played in all three of the Sun’s preseason games, averaging 5.0 points per game.

At Marquette, Hiedeman left her mark as the No. 3 all-time scorer with 1,913 points, and was the first MU player to record 300 made three-pointers.

The Dream return to action Friday night against the Sun at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Fans can stream the game live on the WSB Now app beginning at 7:30 p.m.
