Atlanta Dream Open 2019 Season at State Farm Arena

The Dream and reigning Coach of the Year Nicki Collen host the Dallas Wings this Friday.

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Dream will tip off its 2019 season Friday night at home against the Dallas Wings beginning at 7:30 p.m. Atlanta returns home to State Farm Arena after a two-year hiatus to play on its own court.

Fans can watch the game through WSB-TV (on the WSB Now stream through WSBTV.com and on the WSB-TV news app) or WNBA League Pass, with Andy DeMetra and Amy Audibert on the call.

Roster Set

Atlanta announced early Thursday its opening day roster for the 2019 season. Led by veterans Tiffany Hayes and Renee Montgomery, the team will feature eight returnees and four newcomers, including 2019 second round draft pick Maite Cazorla.

Dream vs. Wings

The Dream went 1-2 against Dallas last season, losing the first two games in the series and then beating the Wings at home in August. In the 2019 preseason, Atlanta opened its preseason slate against Dallas, beating them 82-59 in Connecticut. Atlanta owns a 14-7 lead against the franchise.

Atlanta stays home for another week after opening weekend, hosting the Seattle Storm on Friday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 12th season in the WNBA in 2019, will play its home games in State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta. The Dream has qualified for the playoffs nine times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
