Senior Vice President, Community Impact and Strategic Partnerships

Laila Brock joined the Atlanta Dream in December 2022 as Senior Vice President, Community Impact and Strategic Partnerships. She is responsible for aligning the organization’s mission with its business development goals while also amplifying the values of the team.

Brock brings more than 20 years of experience as a sports executive to the Dream. Most recently, she served as the vice president of business development for JMI Sports, a leading media rights and venue development company. In the role, she directed industry outreach and relationship development to increase revenue through events and strategic initiatives.

Before her time at JMI, Brock was a member of the initial College Football Playoff staff. As senior director of operations and logistics, she created innovative brand activations for sponsors. Prior to this role, she spent time with the Orange Bowl Committee, host of the Capital One Orange Bowl, in various leadership roles where she developed hospitality programs that have become commonplace in NCAA tournaments and championships.

Her professional career began with promoting violence prevention, gender equity and racial bias training for student athletes as an assistant director for the National Consortium for Academics and Sports’ Mentors in Violence Prevention Program. Now known as the Institute for Sport and Social Justice, Brock still serves the organization as a member of its Board of Directors.

Brock received a bachelor of arts and master’s degree from Penn State University, where she was a four-year letter winner and captain of the women’s track and field team.
