Waka Flocka Flame Set to Perform Halftime of WNBA’s Atlanta Dream Game on August 3

ATLANTA, Ga. (July 26, 2022) – The WNBA’s Atlanta Dream announced today a halftime performance from award-winning music and television star Waka Flocka Flame on Wednesday, August 3 as the Dream host the Indiana Fever. The game, presented by Emory Healthcare, is set for a 7:00 p.m. ET tip-off at Gateway Center Arena, and limited tickets are still available.

“Yo Atlanta! Imma be with y’all cheering in the crowd against Indiana on August 3rd, and we gonna crush they spirits with the most turned up the halftime show in basketball,” said Waka Flocka. “See y’all on the 3rd! SQUAD!!!!”

The Atlanta-based rapper has been a dominant force in the music industry for more than a decade whose first studio album, Flockaveli, debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 in 2010. From the album’s success he was named the eighth hottest MC of the year by MTV and won a BET Hip Hop Award for his single No Hands with Roscoe Dash and Wale. He went on to collaborate with GRAMMY Award nominated artist Gucci Mane on his album Ferrari Boyz and released a solo successful album titled Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family.

Waka Flocka has also made a name for himself on the small screen, gaining popularity on the hit VH1 show Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta. He since went on to star in a number of reality shows, including WE TV’s Growing Up Hip-Hop: Atlanta and Waka & Tammy: What the Flocka.

Earlier this season, the Dream brought out Atlanta’s own Omerettà The Great for the team’s 2022 home opener, where she performed her hit song Sorry Not Sorry in front of a sold out crowd at Gateway Center Arena on May 11.
