Matee Ajavon and Star from the Atlanta Dream visited D.H. Stanton Elementary School Monday morning to kick off a monthly reading program. The school is participating in the Jacket to Jacket reading program, an initiative created by the Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball team, in partnership with the Atlanta Dream, to promote and encourage students to learn through reading. About 300 children were in attendance as Ajavon spoke on the importance of reading, getting them excited to reach their reading quotas by the end of October.
