Dream to Host San Antonio Stars Wednesday
The Atlanta Dream, who currently sit in fourth place in the AP poll, will host the San Antonio Stars Wednesday, May 31 at 11:30am. This will be their third home game of the season as the Dream host their first of two Kids Day’s at McCamish Pavilion.
The Dream (3-1) are coming off a 75-73 win over the defending champions Los Angeles Sparks. Each of the Dream’s five starters currently ranks in the top five in the league in an individual statistic. Tiffany Hayes is No. 4 in points per game with 20.8; Elizabeth Williams and Layshia Clarendon are No. 3 in rebounds and assists, respectively (10.5rpg; 7.5apg). Additionally, Sancho Lyttle is currently the leader in steals per game with 2.5, and Bria Holmes is No. 2 in minutes played with 34.5 per game.
Hayes led the team with 24 points in their win over the Sparks and enters Wednesday’s game with 1,926 career points, nearing 2,000. Clarendon had a career-high 12 assists in Saturday’s game and is coming off a week that saw her named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
The Stars (0-5) have won the last two meetings between the teams but are looking for their first win of the season. Georgia Tech fans will see a familiar face on the roster as Alex Montgomery returns to McCamish Pavilion to take on the Dream.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 10th season in the WNBA in 2017, will play its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
