Managing Partner

Larry Gottesdiener became the managing partner of the Atlanta Dream in February 2021 and is responsible for setting the long-term strategic vision for the organization with the goal of creating a model franchise in women’s sports, underpinned by core values of respect, integrity, and honesty. His priorities include investing in the players, the organization and the Atlanta community, as well as providing onramps into the business of sports for former WNBA players.

Gottesdiener is the Founder and Chairman of Northland Investment Corporation where he oversees long-term strategic direction. Northland is a real estate private equity firm with $8 billion of assets under management, including more than 26,000 residential units and 2.1 million square feet of commercial space, and a $3 billion development pipeline. Northland’s core competency is the acquisition, development, long-term ownership, and management of multifamily and mixed-use assets. The firm currently owns and manages properties across sixteen states, with concentrations in New England, Atlanta, Florida, Austin, and Los Angeles. Northland was named to the National Multifamily Housing Council’s (NMHC) list of Top 50 Largest Apartment Owners for the past six years and was recently recognized again on Multifamily Leaderships’ list of Best Places to Work Multifamily, and the Top 25 Best Places to Work Multifamily for Women.

Gottesdiener earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University.
