Executive Vice President, General Manager

Dan Padover joined the Atlanta Dream as General Manager in October 2021 and quickly put his stamp on the organization. In his first season, Padover added eight new players to the roster, including WNBA All-Star and KIA Rookie of the Year Rhyne Howard, nearly-doubling the team’s win total from the previous season. In December 2022, he signed a five-year extension to stay with the organization.

Prior to his current role, Padover spent three seasons with the Las Vegas Aces, who finished with the best record in the WNBA in 2020 and second-best record in 2021. He was recognized as WNBA Basketball Executive of the Year in 2020 and 2021. In his three seasons with the Aces, the team posted a 63-25 record and appeared in the 2020 WNBA Finals.

Padover started his WNBA career with the New York Liberty where he rose from the ranks of video coordinator to manager, director and, ultimately, vice president of basketball operations over seven seasons. As Vice President of Basketball Operations, he led the Liberty to a first-place finish in the East during the 2017 season.

Earlier in his career, Padover spent two seasons with the Rutgers University women’s basketball team as a video coordinator where he created the organization’s first analytical database. He also spent one season as a video coordinator with the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, along with a season as a student assistant to the director of basketball operations at the University of Connecticut.

Padover holds a master’s of business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and business administration from the University of Connecticut.
