The Dream will travel for both preseason games in 2018
ATLANTA – The Atlanta Dream will open its 11th season with a preseason game at Chicago on Sunday, May 6 at 4 p.m. ET. The game will be played at the Sky’s new home, Wintrust Arena.
This will be Coach Nicki Collen’s debut game as the Dream’s head coach.
“I am excited about both opportunities in the preseason,” Head coach Nicki Collen said. “Both games give us a chance to see who shines when the lights come on and begin the process of finding rotations that work well together. The competition will also help our staff assess who should be on our opening day roster as we begin this 2018 campaign.”
The Sky features 2017 All-Stars Stefanie Dolson, who also participated in the USA Basketball Women’s National Team training camp earlier this month, and Allie Quigley.
For the Dream’s second preseason game, the team will travel to Connecticut on May 11th to play the Sun at 7 p.m. ET at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn.
The Sun has three returning 2017 All-Stars including Jonquel Jones, Alyssa Thomas and Jasmine Thomas.

The 2018 season opens Sunday, May 20th for the Dream when the team travels to Texas to face the Dallas Wings as part of the 2018 WNBA Tip-Off presented by Verizon. As part of the WNBA tip-off weekend, Sunday is #WNBAAllDay where all 12 teams will be competing.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 11th season in the WNBA in 2018 will play its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
