Here’s What You Missed at the Multigenerational Breakfast

It was an early morning for Dream staff as they prepared for companies and individuals attending the second annual Multigenerational Breakfast at the Westin. Despite the 7:30 a.m. start time, attendees showed up well before and were eager to start networking and dive into the colorful breakfast spread. As the clock inched closer to 8:00, everyone made their way to their seats and the panel was underway.

Moderator and sports psychologist Dr. Kensa Gunter asked panel members a variety of questions about their background, inclusion and diversity, gender, stereotypes in the workplace, identity, mentoring, and the mixture of generations in the workplace. Panel members included Shan Cooper (WestRock), Taylor Bennett (Focus Brands), Kristyn Cook Turner (State Farm), and Carl Anderson (Delta). In answering questions, each panelist offered a unique perspective coming from diverse backgrounds and being in different fields. There were laughs and a lot of thought provoking words said that left attendees with something to take with them.

The floor opened up for audience members to ask the panelists questions and continue the conversation. To close the breakfast, each panel member selected a business card from a bowl of cards and announced audience members who won a bag with prizes. One lucky winner received courtside tickets to the home opener and the other prizes were a Google Home, Amazon Fire, Amazon Echo Dot, Link and Atlanta Dream apparel.

The Dream’s 11th season is quickly approaching with the home opener scheduled for Saturday, May 26th against the visiting Dallas Wings. To purchase tickets tickets to the home opener click here.
