The Atlanta Dream sat down with spring intern Kayla Potts to learn little more about her:
1. What college did/are you go(ing) to and what did you study(ing)?
Mercer University (Undergrad) – Sports Marketing and Analytics and Mercer University (Master’s program) – Marketing concentration
2. What’s the last show you binge watched?
You, Netflix original series
3. What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Relaxing and hanging out with friends
4. What are you passionate about?
Food, basketball, and traveling
5. What are you looking forward to the most in your first Dream season?
I am looking forward to see how our ideas convert into actions and impacting the Dream this season. Also, being able to see the business side unfold in the sport I grew up watching and playing. I will always look forward for game days. I am eager to learn and absorb as much knowledge and skills I can during this season with the Dream.
6. Did you play any sports growing up or in high school?
I played basketball since I was 6 years old through my undergrad at Mercer.
7. What’s your favorite food?
I don’t have a favorite food, but home cooked meals are the best.
8. If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who would it be and why?
Michelle Obama. She is an intelligent and influential public figure who speaks for all women. I consider her as a role model for black women, feminism, and equality. I believe she would be very insightful and bring plethora of knowledge from her experiences to help shape my own.
9. If you could visit anywhere in the world where would it be?
Singapore
10. Who is your favorite artist? Music?
My favorite artists right now are Ella Mai and H.E.R. I am a fan of R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop, and Gospel.
11. What is your Dream job?
Senior/ Executive Vice President of a Marketing department of a professional sports team or brand
12. What movie can you watch on repeat?
Love and Basketball, favorite movie.
