ATLANTA – The Atlanta Dream received the third pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft Lottery presented by State Farm, which aired live during ESPN’s Friday night broadcast of the DePaul vs. Louisville women’s basketball game. The selection marks the Dream’s third lottery pick in franchise history first No. 3 overall selection.
This upcoming Draft will mark the third time in franchise history the Dream have a lottery pick. Atlanta drafted Chennedy Carter with the No. 4 overall selection in 2020, the team’s first top-four pick since its first year of lottery eligibility in 2009. Carter went on to lead the team with 17.4 points per game last season.
