Dream Hit the Road to Play Mercury

ATLANTA (July 12, 2017) — The Atlanta Dream are on the road after a two game homestand to play the Phoenix Mercury Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. on WNBA League Pass. The Dream will be back in Atlanta July 18 after playing at Seattle on Saturday.

The Dream (8-8) are back to a .500 record after winning their last two games. Guard Layshia Clarendon set a new career-high with 27 points in Friday’s win over the Indiana Fever. Rookie Brittney Sykes added another 18 to secure the 89-68 win.

WNBA All-Star Tiffany Hayes led the team with 19 points in Sunday’s win over the Dallas Wings. The team had a total of 22 assists in the 98-78 win while Sykes had another 18-point game.

The Mercury (10-6) are on a three-game win streak after beating the New York Liberty at home Sunday. Brittney Griner had 31 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots in the 81-69 win, and Diana Taurasi added 19 points.

The Mercury took control of the series last season 2-1.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 10th season in the WNBA in 2017, will play its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
