Atlanta Dream Look to Bounce Back Against Chicago

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Dream return to State Farm Arena Saturday to face the sixth-ranked Chicago Sky in its annual Dream Pink game at 7:00 p.m. Fans can stream the game on WSB-TV Now and WNBA League Pass.

The Dream (5-16) are coming off a 61-59 loss to the Indiana Fever last Wednesday. Elizabeth Williams paced the Dream with 17 points to tie her season high, while grabbing a team-high five offensive rebounds. Monique Billings led the team in total rebounds with 12, and Jessica Breland pulled down double-digit rebounds for the third time this year with 11 total rebounds.

The Sky (11-9) come to Atlanta off of a loss to the Connecticut Sun in a high-scoring matchup on Tuesday. Chicago outscored the Sun 31-18 in the fourth quarter, but Connecticut held on to win, 100-94. Allie Quigley led the Sky with 24 points, including four made three-pointers. Courtney Vandersloot added 22 points and 11 assists for her third double-double of the season.

Last Time Out: Dream vs. Sky

When the Dream traveled to Chicago earlier this season, the Sky took the lead with 2.3 seconds left on a go-ahead layup by Stefanie Dolson. Atlanta led for the majority of the game to that point, but Chicago pulled ahead at the last moment for a 77-76 win. Renee Montgomery dropped a season-high 23 points and made six three pointers. Tiffany Hayes and Williams added 16 and 13 points, respectively, while Breland scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to earn her first double-double of the year.

Downtown Atlanta will be extremely busy due to the Atlanta United game taking place at Mercedes Benz Stadium this Saturday, August 3 beginning at 5 p.m. Fans coming to the 7 p.m. Dream game should plan accordingly. We suggest you leave early and plan to be in the arena prior to tip off to avoid large crowds exiting the United game.

We highly suggest fans take MARTA to the Dream game to avoid street traffic as well as higher parking prices due to the United game. Parking rates are expected to be as high as $50 per spot.

Once the United game lets out, fans should expect street closures and long waits in the parking decks. Please avoid this by coming early.
