Atlanta Dream Host Reigning Champion Seattle Storm

The Storm will visit the Dream in State Farm Arena Friday night.

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Dream will host the Seattle Storm Friday at State Farm Arena beginning at 7:30 p.m. The game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.

The Dream (1-0) are coming off a week break after defeating the Dallas Wings in the team’s home opener last Friday. Seattle (1-1) return to action after a loss on the road to the Minnesota Lynx Wednesday night, where Natasha Howard led both teams with 18 points.

Following Friday night’s game at State Farm Arena, both teams hit the road as the Dream travel to Washington and the Storm travel to Chicago for a pair of Saturday night games. Dream fans will be able to stream Saturday night’s game against the Mystics on WSB-TV Now.

Dream vs. Storm

The Dream lead the series against the Storm 13-12 after going 2-1 against them in 2018, and are 9-4 against Seattle when playing in Atlanta.

Last season, the Dream took the first game in the series 67-64 led by Tiffany Hayes’ 23-point effort. The Storm took a 95-86 decision over the Dream in Atlanta to tie up the series, but Atlanta claimed the series with an 87-74 victory in McCamish Pavilion.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 12th season in the WNBA in 2019, will play its home games in State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta. The Dream has qualified for the playoffs nine times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
