Bria Holmes led Dream with 13 points

ST. PAUL, Minn. (May 5, 2017) – Bria Holmes scored 13 points as the Atlanta Dream fell to the Minnesota Lynx, 113-67, Friday night in the team’s lone preseason game.

Brittney Sykes notched 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in her first professional game. Darxia Morris added 12 points in just 13 minutes of work. Starters Layshia Clarendon and Tiffany Hayes saw limited minutes for the Dream, combining for 13 points.

The Dream got off to a slow start, falling behind 8-0 over the first two minutes of the game and could never cut in to the Minnesota lead.

Five Lynx scored in double-figures, including a team-high 14 points by Rebekkah Brunson.

Atlanta opens the 2017 regular season next Saturday, May 13 at Connecticut as part of the WNBA Tipoff presented by Verizon.
