Atlanta Dream Announce Theme Games, Ticket Packages and More

The 2019 Atlanta Dream season opens May 24 at State Farm Arena

ATLANTA – With the 2019 Atlanta Dream schedule set, the team has released its theme games, a special ticket package, special season-ticket holder events and more.

Coming off its best season in team history, Atlanta opens defense of its regular season Eastern Conference Championship for the 2019 WNBA season at home against the Dallas Wings on Friday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the newly-renovated State Farm Arena. Fans in attendance will receive a special 2019 schedule magnet as part of the season-opening festivities, including the introduction of a new mascot.

Continuing a yearly tradition, the Dream will host its first of two Kids Day games Wednesday, June 19 against the Indiana Fever at 11 a.m. Superhero Kids Day presented by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, will be full of fun opportunities to meet your favorite superhero characters as well as all kids in attendance will receive a special superhero-themed giveaway. The Dream will welcome the Connecticut Sun to town Wednesday, July 10 for Carnival Kids Day tipping off at 11 a.m. The second kid’s day game of the season will treat those in attendance to an exciting afternoon of carnival-themed activities. Fans will receive special temporary tattoos and thundersticks to help cheer on the Dream.

Dream fans will not want to miss our 2019 Military & First Responder’s Day on Sunday, June 23 at 1 p.m. The 2018 WNBA Semifinals rematch against the Washington Mystics will be televised live on ESPN and include numerous recognitions celebrating our country’s everyday heroes.

Atlanta will host its annual Pride game Sunday, June 30 when the New York Liberty come to town beginning at 3 p.m. Fans will receive a unique pride giveaway and be treated to a fun-filled afternoon.

This summer, we can all celebrate Christmas in July on Tuesday, July 23. Atlanta hosts the Los Angeles Sparks in this special-themed evening. Fans are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy donation and in return will receive a food voucher gift of their own to use at the game.

As in years past, Atlanta will once again host Dream Pink Night presented by Grady on Saturday, August 3 at 7 p.m. against the Chicago Sky. All fans in attendance will receive a special pink multipurpose headwear/rally towel, which can be used as a rally towel. Special auction events will benefit the Grady Health Foundation and the Avon Breast Center.

For the first time the Atlanta Dream will designate a singular day to recognize some incredible women with our Women of Inspiration night on Tuesday, August 20 at 7 p.m. The Dream, who will host the Sky, will honor some of the most inspirational women around Atlanta.

The Dream will host its first coat drive on Thursday, September 5. The game against the visiting Las Vegas Aces will begin at 7 p.m. All fans attending will be asked to bring a lightly-worn coat to donate to the homeless around Atlanta.

The regular season will conclude on Sunday, September 8 and the Dream will be celebrating all of its fans during its annual Fan Appreciation Day beginning at 4 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive a 2019 Atlanta Dream team poster as well as a Dream t-shirt. There will giveaways all night long from area merchants, restaurants and sports teams!

New this season, the Atlanta Dream will be offering a special discount on their tickets when you bring any Atlanta Hawks, Falcons, United and Braves tickets to a game. All 2019 Atlanta Dream season-ticket holders and those who wish to purchase season tickets and mini-plans are invited to a “Meet your Seat” the third week of February at State Farm Arena. We will also host a first-of-its-kind Atlanta Dream Town Hall in late March with Head Coach Nicki Collen, President & General Manager Chris Sienko and Assistant Coaches Mike Petersen and Darius Taylor, where season subscribers can ask all the questions they want about the Dream team, draft and the WNBA.
