The Atlanta Dream’s 11th season is quickly approaching with the home opener set for Saturday, May 26 against the Dallas Wings. It’s going to be an exciting season and there’s a lot to look forward to, so here’s five reasons you should buy tickets for the home opener:
1. ANGEL IS BACK
Angel took the 2017 season to rest her body, but now she’s BACK! With accolades for days, she’s bringing 9 years of experience to the team and is happy to be back with Atlanta, her “home.”
2. COACH NICKI’S DEBUT
It’s Coach Nicki’s first season as the Dream’s head coach and fans are excited for her coaching debut.
3. 2017 WNBA ALL-STARS RETURN
Not just one, but all 3 of the Dream’s 2017 WNBA All-Star players are back for the 2018 season.
4. NEW STAFF ADDITIONS
While the Dream has signed new players, they also have added new staff members to the team. Assistant coach Darius Taylor previously coached under Dawn Staley at the University of South Carolina. Assistant coach Mike Petersen brings a wealth of coaching experience and most recently served as an advanced scout for the New Orleans Pelicans. Athletic trainer Jessica Cohen joins the team after previously working with the Chicago Sky.
5. FANS
The support from fans is what makes the games better. Without the fans, the game just wouldn’t be the same.
