Dream Open Three-Game Road Trip at New York Sunday

Atlanta will go for its sixth straight win

WHITE PLAINS, New York – After a record-breaking win at home Saturday, the Atlanta Dream (21-10) hit the road for an afternoon matchup with the New York Liberty at the Westchester County Center today at 2:30 p.m. The game will be streamed live on WNBA League Pass.

Atlanta, who has won five straight games, earned its franchise record 21st win Saturday with a 92-82 victory over the Dallas Wings at home. The Dream finished the regular season with a 13-4 home record, which tied a franchise record for most wins in a season on their own court.

The Dream can clinch a top two seed in the WNBA Playoffs with a win Sunday combined with a Washington Mystics loss. The No. 2 seed will guarantee the Dream a double-bye and a spot in the WNBA Semifinals.

New York (7-22) enters Sunday’s game on an eight-game losing streak after falling to the Los Angeles Sparks, 82-81, last Wednesday night. Perennial All-Star Tina Charles leads the Liberty with 19.9 points and 7.1 rebounds a game.

Atlanta will close out the regular season with a pair of games on the west coast beginning with the Phoenix Mercury Friday, August 17 and then a season finale at the Las Vegas Aces Sunday, August 19.
