Dream to Hold Watch Party for Sunday’s Playoff Showdown at Chicago

ATLANTA, September 23, 2016 – The Atlanta Dream will hold a viewing party for its fans and media on Sunday, September 25 at Taco Mac in Midtown Atlanta beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Taco Mac is located at 933 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309. Food and drink specials will be offered

Parking is available at the Metropolis Condominium Park Deck and will be validated for the first hour

The No. 6 seed Dream will face the No. 4 seed Chicago Sky in the second round of the 2016 WNBA Playoffs on Sunday, Sept. 25 in a 1 p.m. ET tip that will be televised live nationally on ESPN2.  Sunday’s game is a single-game elimination contest.

Atlanta advanced following a 94-85 victory over the Seattle Storm in the opening round Wednesday night behind a game-high 37 points by Angel McCoughtry.

With a win Sunday, the Dream will advance to the 2016 WNBA Semifinals against either No. 1 seed Minnesota or No. 2 seed Los Angeles.

The WNBA Semifinals is a best-of-five series format.  Game one of the semifinals will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at either Minnesota or Los Angeles.  If Atlanta qualifies, it will host Game 3 at McCamish Pavilion on the campus of Georgia Tech on Sunday, Oct. 2 and potentially a Game 4 on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is in its ninth season in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

 The Dream plays their home games at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion.  Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
