The Dream are partnering with Innersole to launch the Douglas County competition
ATLANTA (January 6, 2017) – The Atlanta Dream, in partnership with Innersole, have announced the launch of the “Educate My Sole” Competition. The challenge will run from Friday, January 6 through Wednesday, March 15 and be offered to classrooms in the Douglas County School System.
“Educate My Sole” is a challenge with an emphasis on attendance, accompanied by a deep commitment to ensuring that students are engaged in the classroom. The challenge will focus on four areas: academics, attendance, behavior and physical fitness.
Innersole will reward one Douglas County elementary school classroom and one middle school classroom with brand new pairs of shoes for the students. Classrooms with the highest measurable improvements will win the competition.
“In alignment with our focus on education, we are excited to partner with Innersole in their great initiative to expand to the greater Atlanta area,” Vice President of Basketball Operations Natalie White said. “The ‘Educate My Sole’ challenge provides an exciting and engaging opportunity for the kids to take part in a friendly competition focusing on academics.”
The mission of Innersole is to provide new sneakers to children who are homeless and children who are in need. This is a national and international initiative that will make a difference in the lives of children by starting the school year off with a new pair of sneakers.
