Eligible charities can win a $5,000 donation from the Atlanta Dream
ATLANTA (August 1, 2016) — With five home games remaining in the WNBA season, the Atlanta Dream are excited to announce the 2016 Charity Challenge. The program will reward eligible 501c3 organizations an opportunity to win a $5,000 donation from the team.
Eligible 501c3 charities that request at least 50 “free” tickets to any of the remaining 2016 Dream games with a redemption rate of 85% or higher will receive one raffle ticket, which will be drawn after the final regular season Dream home game on Thursday, September 15. For each 50 tickets requested with the required redemption rate, the charity will receive an extra raffle ticket.

501c3 organizations that wish to participate and “purchase” group tickets will receive three raffle tickets for purchasing 50 tickets and having a redemption rate of 85% on those tickets. No special deals (fundraising opportunities) are available as part of this offer.
“The Charity Challenge is a great way to increase fan attendance while rewarding the best supporting non-profit organization,” Atlanta Dream president Theresa Wenzel said. “We are excited to see which organization steps up to the challenge while supporting the Dream.”
Charities that have taken part in the Community Ticket Program in 2016 can still participate in this challenge. For every 50 tickets requested for any of the final five home games with an 85% redemption rate, they will receive two raffle tickets.

The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is entering its ninth season in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).
The Dream plays their home games at Philips Arena. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs six times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
