- WNBA LiveAccess Makes Live Games Available For the First Time on Team Web Sites -

ATLANTA, May 15, 2009 The Atlanta Dream announced today the teams 2009 broadcast schedule, highlighted by a national TV appearance on ESPN2 and the live webcast of 32 Dream games throughout the 2009 season.

The Dream makes its ESPN2 national television debut against the Candice Wiggins and the Minnesota Lynx on June 30 at Philips Arena. The game is designated as Go Red night as the Dream teams up with the American Heart Association to raise awareness for heart health.

With the launch of WNBA LiveAccess, a new feature on WNBA.com, Dream fans will gain free access to live webcasts of Dream games. For the first time, fans around the world will be able to access live game webcasts on individual team web sites. Some blackouts of live games will apply. All of the WNBA LiveAccess games will then be archived for on-demand viewing.

We believe this innovative approach will broaden the fan base for the WNBA and the Dream as we allow our fans who cannot always make it to our games in person to follow the Dream wherever we play, said Dream President & COO Bill Bolen. The accessibility of our players in the community and with our fans has always been a hallmark of the WNBA, and this new initiative continues that theme by allowing our fans to stay connected no matter where they are around the country. The DreamNation spreads across the entire Southeast and beyond, and we are excited to bring the games to our fans via LiveAccess.

Overall, the extensive online offering will complement the WNBAs broadcast coverage, which includes live national telecasts of up to 29 regular season and postseason contests on ESPN2 and ABC and another 50 games on NBA TV, as well as games streamed on ESPN360.com.

During the season, many WNBA teams will utilize TriCaster, a portable live production and virtual set system, to stream select games from their arena, to a worldwide audience. The TriCaster technology used to create the live webcasts has already been proven in the NBA Development League the last two seasons, and provides a quality viewing experience by using existing cameras in each arena.

The Dream will tip off its second season on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 7 p.m. against the Indiana Fever.
