DREAM ACQUIRES GUARD ARMINTIE PRICE IN TRADE WITH CHICAGO SKY

ATLANTA, August 12, 2009� The Atlanta Dream announced today the team has acquired guard Armintie Price from the Chicago Sky in exchange for guard Tamera Young. Price will be active for Thursday�s game against the Detroit Shock. The WNBA trade deadline is August 17.

Price, a 5-9 guard from the University of Mississippi, appeared in 22 games for the Sky this season, averaging 3.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists. Originally selected by the Sky with the third overall pick in the 2007 WNBA Draft, Price started all 34 games for Chicago in her first year as a pro en route to Rookie of the Year honors. In three seasons in the league, Price is averaging 6.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

Young, the Dream�s first round draft pick in 2008, appeared in 11 games this season for the Dream, averaging 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. She was the Dream�s first draft pick in franchise history, selected eighth overall in the 2008 WNBA Draft. Young played collegiately at James Madison University, where she holds conference (CAA) and school career scoring records. She was the first player from James Madison to make a WNBA roster.

The Dream will host its annual Dream Pink game on Saturday, August 15 against the Seattle Storm.
