Dream Launches Atlanta Dream Basketball Skills Academy

DREAM LAUNCHES ATLANTA DREAM BASKETBALL SKILLS ACADEMY

ATLANTA, November 10, 2010 - The Atlanta Dream will kick off its Atlanta Dream Basketball Skills Academy, a new youth basketball development program, with a clinic on November 20.

Dream Head Coach & General Manager Marynell Meadors and Assistant Coach Fred Williams will lead the one-day clinic at Cumberland Academy of Georgia (650 Mount Vernon Highway NE, Atlanta GA 30328). The clinic is open to youth in grades 3-8 and is designed for the beginner to the advanced basketball player who wants to improve their basketball fundamentals. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration is $75 per participant and can be completed on www.AtlantaDream.net. Participants will receive a Dream practice jersey, ticket to a 2011 Dream home game, and lunch provided by Breadwinner Caf. The Atlanta Dream kicks off its fourth season in 2011 as part of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), the world's longest-running women's professional sports league. The Dream, the defending Eastern Conference Champions, will begin the 2011 season in June with regular season games scheduled through mid-September.
