DREAM ANNOUNCES 2011 SCHEDULE

ATLANTA, December 22, 2010� The Atlanta Dream announced today the team�s schedule for the 2011 season, featuring 17 home games at Philips Arena. The Dream enters its fourth season this summer as the WNBA tips off its 15th season in June.

The Atlanta Dream will tip off the 2011 season at home on June 5 against Cappie Pondexter and the New York Liberty in a rematch of last year�s Eastern Conference Finals. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Philips Arena.

The Dream, the defending Eastern Conference Champions, will play 17 home games at Philips Arena, including nine weekend dates. Highlights include a visit by league scoring champ Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury on June 24, a matchup with Candace Parker the Los Angeles Sparks on July 28, and a showdown against the defending WNBA champion Seattle Storm on August 7.

The Dream looks to defend its Eastern Conference title in 2011, after advancing to the WNBA Finals in the franchise�s third season. The team is led by 6-1 forward Angel MCoughtry, who finished as the league�s third-leading scorer last season and earned All-WNBA and All-Defensive team honors. Under the leadership of Head Coach Marynell Meadors, the Dream has advanced to the playoffs in two of the franchise�s first three seasons.

The WNBA heads into its 15th regular season, after a fourth consecutive year of league wide attendance growth, a 36 percent increase in average playoff attendance, along with higher gate receipts and TV viewership. For the sixth consecutive year, ESPN2 will feature �WNBA Tuesdays� as the viewing destination for basketball fans. The Dream will host the Washington Mystics on June 9 in an Eastern Conference rivalry game at 7 pm ET on ESPN2. The 2011 WNBA season marks the third year of the league�s eight-year deal that allows ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 to televise games through 2016. Combined WNBA coverage on ESPN2 and NBA TV, the league�s 24-hour television network, will feature over 70 contests. The 2011 WNBA regular season runs from Friday, June 3 to Sunday, September 11.
