Overseas Update - Dec. 17

Erika de Souza � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife has not yet begun its season.

Tiffany Hayes � Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (Israel): Hayes� team lost for the fifth time in five games this season, falling to Elitzur Ramla, 79-53, on Dec. 10. Hayes tied for the team scoring lead with 10 points, and added two rebounds and an assist in 23 minutes. She is averaging 16.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.6 steals in five games this season.

Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion Israeli League stats

Aneika Henry � Rivas Ecopolis (Spain): Rivas Ecopolis did not have any games last week, in either the EuroLeague or the Spanish League. Henry�s team is 9-0 in the Spanish League with Henry averaging 8.4 points and 6.4 rebounds. In the EuroLeague, her team is currently 3-3 in its group and Henry is averaging 10.2 points and 8.8 boards.

Laurie Koehn � Logan Thunder (Australia): Koehn had a rare off-game as the Logan Thunder dropped to 4-9 in the Australian League with a 69-61 loss to Bendigo on Dec. 16. Koehn scored just six points, making only one of her seven three-point attempts, while also adding six rebounds. Still, Koehn is now averaging a team-best 15.1 points in 10 games, and has made 36-of-79 three-pointers (45.6 percent).

Logan Thunder Australian League stats

Cathrine Kraayeveld � Shinhan Bank (South Korea): Shinhan Bank split two games last week to move to 13-5 in the South Korean League, with Kraayeveld recording double-doubles in each game. During an 80-71 win over KB Stars on Dec. 12, Kraayeveld had team highs of 19 points and 13 rebounds while also adding six assists. In a 56-54 loss to Winnus on Dec. 15, she led the team with 16 points and gravved 12 more rebounds. In her eight games with the team, Kraayeveld is averaging 16.1 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists.

Shinhan Bank South Korean League stats

Yelena Leuchanka � Liaoning (China): Liaoning split a pair of games last week to move to 8-7 in the Chinese League. During a 91-82 victory over Heilongjiang on Dec. 11, Leuchanka scored 23 points and led all players with 12 rebounds. In an 84-81 loss to Jiangsu on Dec. 15, she had a monster game, leading all players with 29 points and 26 rebounds. For the season, she is averaging 16.8 points and 8.7 rebounds in 15 games for Liaoning.

Liaoning Chinese League stats

Sancho Lyttle � Galatasaray (Turkey): Galatasaray cruised to an easy EuroLeague victory last week, defeating Novi Zagreb on Dec. 12 by a score of 77-50 to improve to 6-1 in Group C. Lyttle led her team with 16 points, 13 rebounds and three steals, and is now averaging 12.3 points, 8.6 boards and 2.1 steals in EuroLeague games. Galatasaray improved to 8-1 in the Turkish League with an 81-48 victory over Mersin on Dec. 16. Lyttle played just 17 minutes, but still managed 12 points, seven rebounds and a pair of steals. She is averaging 11.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.9 steals in nine Turkish League games.

Angel McCoughtry � Fenerbahce (Turkey): McCoughtry returned to action for Fenerbahce in the Turkish League, and helped her team improve to 9-0 with a 98-62 win over third-place Kayseri on Dec. 16. She totaled 12 points, five rebounds and three steals in only 22 minutes and now averages team highs of 17.0 points and 7.7 rebounds in six Turkish League games. Fenerbahce did not play in the EuroLeague last week and remains 4-2 in Group B, with McCoughtry averaging 15.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.2 assists in EuroLeague games.
