Overseas Update - Dec. 4

With the start of the women's league in Brazil, four Dream players are now currently playing overseas. Erika de Souza and Tiffany Hayes helped Sport Recife win in its season debut, while Alex Bentley is scheduled to join them on the squad in January. Meanwhile in Turkey, Angel McCoughtry and Aneika Henry continue to excel. Updates on all four players follow below:

Erika de Souza � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife opened its season on Nov. 30 with a 64-57 victory over S�o Jos�/Colinas Shopping. In the victory, de Souza posted a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. She made just three of her 11 field goal attempts, but hit 5-of-6 from the free throw line.

Tiffany Hayes � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife opened its season on Nov. 30 with a 64-57 victory over S�o Jos�/Colinas Shopping. Hayes led all scorers with 15 points in the game, making half of her 10 field goals including a pair of 3-pointers. She also grabbed eight boards and had a pair of assists.

Aneika Henry � Homend Antakya Belediyesi (Turkey): Henry played twice last week and has now played in eight Turkish League games and four Eurocup games for Antakya this season. In the Turkish League, she totaled 12 points and 13 rebounds in a 70-64 victory over Besiktas on Dec. 1 and now averages 14.1 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks for her team, which is in fifth place with a 6-3 record. She is averaging 12.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in her four Eurocup games after collecting 14 points and 11 boards in a 68-50 loss to Botas on Nov. 28, with her team now holding a 1-3 record in those contests.

Angel McCoughtry � Fenerbahce (Turkey): McCoughtry helped Fenerbahce win twice last week. On Nov. 27, she had 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, seven rebounds and three steals in a 71-69 win over Nadezhda as Fenerbahce moved to 3-0 in the EuroLeague. On Dec. 1, her eight points and seven rebounds helped Fenerbahce improve to 7-2 in the Turkish League with a 70-60 win over Mersin. McCoughtry is now averaging 17.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 4.0 steals in seven Turkish League contests, and 17.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.7 steals in three EuroLeague games. In all contests, she is shooting 54.2 percent from the field.
