Overseas Update - April 1

Sancho Lyttle's team edged Angel McCoughtry's team to win the Turkish League regular season title, with the playoffs beginning this week. Meanwhile, Dream players in Brazil started their playoff run with a victory. Updates on all of the Dream's overseas players follows below:

Matee Ajavon � Mersin (Turkey): Ajavon ended her overseas season on March 22, scoring seven points with a pair of assists during a 70-63 loss to Canik Bld. In 25 games in the Turkish League season, Ajavon averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. Also this season in 10 EuroCup competitions, she averaged 14.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.8 steals.

Erika de Souza � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife opened its best-of-three semifinal playoff series against Maranhao with a 67-61 victory on March 29. Game 2 will be played on April 5. In the victory, de Souza posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. In 14 total games this season for Sport Recife, de Souza is averaging 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds.

Tiffany Hayes � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife opened its best-of-three semifinal playoff series against Maranhao with a 67-61 victory on March 29. Game 2 will be played on April 5. Hayes led her team in scoring with 19 points, and added six boards and three assists. Hayes has played in 12 games this season, averaging 13.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest.

Aneika Henry � Homend Antakya Belediyesi (Turkey): Henry has not played for Antakya, which is 10-16 in the Turkish League, since March 2. She is averaging 13.8 points and 9.6 rebounds � which ranks fifth in the league � in 21 Turkish League games for Antakya. Antakya had also previously finished the EuroCup regular season with a 2-4 mark for third place in Group A, with Henry averaging 12.5 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Sancho Lyttle � Galatasaray (Turkey): Galatasaray won the Turkish League regular season title with a thrilling 78-75 victory over rival Fenerbahce on March 29. The victory gave Galatasaray a 24-2 record, while Fenerbahce finished second at 23-3. Lyttle had 10 points, seven rebounds and a pair of steals in the victory. She previously had eight points, nine boards and three steals in a 69-50 victory over Besiktas on March 22, and finished the Turkish League regular season averaging 11.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 15 games. Galatasaray will play Orduspor in the Turkish League quarterfinals beginning April 1. Galatasaray is also preparing for the start of the EuroLeague Final Eight which will take place in Ekaterinburg, Russia, beginning April 7. Lyttle has averaged 14.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.1 steals in nine EuroLeague games.

Angel McCoughtry � Fenerbahce (Turkey): Fenerbahce lost a heartbreaker to Galatasaray in the finale of the Turkish League regular season, 78-75 on March 29, to finish in second place with a 23-3 record, one game behind Galatasaray. McCoughtry did her part, pouring in 27 points with 11 rebounds in the loss. She previously had 11 points, five boards and three assists during an 80-66 victory over Istanbul Univ. on March 22, and finished the Turkish League regular season averaging 15.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.6 assists in 22 games. Fenerbahce will play Besiktas in the Turkish League quarterfinals beginning April 1. Fenerbahce is also preparing for the start of the EuroLeague Final Eight, which will take place in Ekaterinsburg, Russia, beginning April 7. McCoughtry has averaged 14.1 points, 6.0 boards and 3.0 steals in 14 EuroLeague contests � all victories.

Le'Coe Willingham � Conquero (Spain): Willingham played in three games for the Spanish League team in January, but is no longer a part of the team. She averaged 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in her three games with the squad.
