Overseas Update - March 4

The round-robin portion of the EuroLeague season wrapped up last week, as Angel McCoughtry and Sancho Lyttle led their teams to spots in the playoffs. Updates on all of the Dream's overseas players follows below:

Alex Bentley� Sport Recife (Brazil): Bentley scored 11 points with three rebounds and an assist in 25 minutes as Sport Recife rolled to an easy 87-44 victory over Brasilia/CSUV 1 on Feb. 26 to improve to 12-2. Bentley has played in 10 games for Sport Recife, averaging 8.3 points per contest.

Erika de Souza � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife dominated in an easy 87-44 victory over Brasilia/CSUV 1 on Feb. 26 to improve to 12-2, with de Souza collecting 11 points and four rebounds in just 10 minutes of action. In 13 games this season for Sport Recife, de Souza is averaging 10.6 points and 6.8 rebounds.

Tiffany Hayes � Sport Recife (Brazil): Hayes did not play for a third straight game as Sport Recife improved to 12-2 with an 87-44 victory over Brasilia/CSUV 1. She had played in the first 11 games of the season. Hayes is averaging 12.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in her 11 games this season.

Aneika Henry � Homend Antakya Belediyesi (Turkey): Antakya dropped its lone game of the week, falling to Besiktas by a score of 63-51 on March 2 to fall to 9-13 in the Turkish League. Henry had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the loss, for her ninth double-double of the season. She is now averaging 13.8 points and 9.6 rebounds � which ranks fifth in the league � in 21 Turkish League games for Antakya. Antakya had also previously finished the EuroCup regular season with a 2-4 mark for third place in Group A, with Henry averaging 12.5 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Sancho Lyttle � Galatasaray (Turkey): Galatasaray won in both the Turkish League and in EuroLeague competition last week. On Feb. 26, Galatasaray defeated Kibirkstis-VICI in a EuroLeague game by a score of 70-45 to finish the regular season with a record of 8-4 in Group C. They will now play Perfumerias Avenida in a best-of-three series when the first round of the playoffs begins March 11. Lyttle totaled 13 points, six rebounds and three steals, and is now averaging 14.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in seven EuroLeague games. On March 1, Lyttle had team highs of 21 points, seven rebounds and three steals as Galatasaray defeated Orduspor, 84-58, to improve to 21-1 in the Turkish League. In 12 Turkish League games this season, she is now averaging 11.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals.

Angel McCoughtry � Fenerbahce (Turkey): Fenerbahce won in both the EuroLeague and Turkish League again last week. On Feb. 26 in the EuroLeague, McCoughtry had 10 points and four rebounds in just 19 minutes during a 78-57 rout of IMOS Brno. Fenerbahnce concluded the EuroLeague regular season with a 12-0 record in Group B, with McCoughtry averaging 14.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 1.6 assists in those games. They will now play CCC Polkowice in a best-of-three series when the first round of the playoffs begins March 11. On March 1, Fenerbahce edged Mersin, 66-62, to improve to 20-2 in the Turkish League. McCoughtry had team highs of 20 points, 14 rebounds and four steals, and is now averaging 15.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.7 assists in 18 Turkish League games. She leads both the EuroLeague and the Turkish League in steals.

Le'Coe Willingham � Conquero (Spain): Willingham played in three games for the Spanish League team in January, but is no longer a part of the team. She averaged 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in her three games with the squad.
