Overseas Update - Feb. 25

Sancho Lyttle and Angel McCoughtry both saw their teams win both in the EuroLeague and the Turkish League last week, but other Dream players' teams didn't have as much success overseas last week. Updates on all of the Dream's overseas players follows below:

Alex Bentley� Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife split two games over the past week, and is now tied for first in the league with a record of 11-2. On Feb. 22, Bentley scored 11 points with three rebounds and two assists during a 65-46 victory over Santa Andre. During a 76-47 loss to Sao Jose/Colinas Shopping, Bentley chipped in six points. Bentley has played in nine games for Sport Recife, averaging 8.0 points per contest.

Erika de Souza � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife split two games over the past week, and is now tied for first in the league with a record of 11-2. In a 65-46 victory over Santo Andre on Feb. 22, de Souza led the team with 17 points, and added seven rebounds. During a 76-47 loss to Sao Jose/Colinas Shopping, de Souza was the team�s only player scoring in double figures, collecting 17 more points with a team-high nine rebounds. In 12 games this season for Sport Recife, de Souza is averaging 10.6 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Tiffany Hayes � Sport Recife (Brazil): Hayes did not play as Sport Recife split two games over the past week to move into a first-place tie with a record of 11-2. She had played in the first 11 games of the season. Hayes is averaging 12.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in her 11 games this season.

Aneika Henry � Homend Antakya Belediyesi (Turkey): Antakya dropped its lone game of the week, falling to Kayseri by a score of 76-64 on Feb. 22 to fall to 9-12 in the Turkish League. Henry had 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss, sinking five of her six shots. She is now averaging 13.7 points and 9.5 rebounds � which ranks sixth in the league � in 20 Turkish League games for Antakya. Antakya had also previously finished the EuroCup regular season with a 2-4 mark for third place in Group A, with Henry averaging 12.5 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Sancho Lyttle � Galatasaray (Turkey): Galatasaray won in both the Turkish League and in EuroLeague competition last week. On Feb. 19, Galatasaray defeated CCC Polkowice in a EuroLeague game by a score of 70-45 to improve to 7-4 in Group C. Lyttle flirted with a triple-double, totaling 12 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, and is now averaging 14.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in six EuroLeague games. On Feb. 22, Lyttle was needed for just 18 minutes during an 87-52 victory over Ceyhan Bld, but still collected six points and nine boards while helping her team improve to 20-1. In 11 Turkish League games this season, she is now averaging 10.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Angel McCoughtry � Fenerbahce (Turkey): Fenerbahce won in both the EuroLeague and Turkish League again last week. On Feb. 19 in the EuroLeague, McCoughtry had 14 points and eight rebounds during a 71-62 victory over Rivas Ecopolis. The win improved Fenerbahce�s record to 11-0 in Group B, with McCoughtry averaging 15.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.7 assists in those games. On Feb. 22, Fenerbahce defeated Konak, 73-52, to improve to 19-2 in the Turkish League. McCoughtry had a team high 16 points, plus eight boards and two blocks, and is now averaging 15.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.8 assists in 17 Turkish League games. She leads both the EuroLeague and the Turkish League in steals.

Le'Coe Willingham � Conquero (Spain): Willingham played in three games for the Spanish League team in January, but is no longer a part of the team. She averaged 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in her three games with the squad.
