Overseas Update - Jan. 28

Angel McCoughtry and Sancho Lyttle helped their teams to EuroLeague victories last week, but in Brazil, the team featuring the Dream trio suffered its first loss in two seasons. Updates on all of the Dream's overseas players follows below:

Alex Bentley� Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife dropped its first game of the season on Jan. 24, dropping a 68-66 decision to Maranhao Basquete to fall to 6-1. Bentley scored seven points and added three rebounds in the loss. In three games this season, she is averaging 11.0 points per contest.

Erika de Souza � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife dropped its first game of the season on Jan. 24, dropping a 68-66 decision to Maranhao Basquete to fall to 6-1. It was an off night for de Souza, who scored just five points on 2-of-10 shooting, although she did have a team-high 11 rebounds. In five games this season, de Souza is averaging 6.7 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Tiffany Hayes � Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife dropped its first game of the season on Jan. 24, dropping a 68-66 decision to Maranhao Basquete to fall to 6-1. Hayes scored a team-high 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting, and added eight rebounds. Hayes is now averaging 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the team�s seven games this season.

Aneika Henry � Homend Antakya Belediyesi (Turkey): Antakya dropped a Turkish League game to Sancho Lyttle�s Galatasaray team on Jan. 25 by a score of 82-62. The loss dropped Antakya to 7-10 in the league, good for seventh place. Henry scored nine points and shared game-high honors with 11 rebounds in the loss. She is now averaging 13.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 16 Turkish League games for Antakya. Antakya had also previously finished the EuroCup regular season with a 2-4 mark for third place in Group A, with Henry averaging 12.5 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Sancho Lyttle � Galatasaray (Turkey): Lyttle helped Galatasaray to a pair of wins last week. In a 63-55 EuroLeague victory against Novi Zagreb on Jan. 22, she collected 20 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks, leading her team in all three categories. The victory improved her team�s EuroLeague record to 6-2, moving into a tie for first in Group C. Lyttle has played in the team�s last three EuroLeague games, averaging 14.7 points and 10.0 rebounds. On Jan. 25 in the Turkish League, she helped her team to an 82-62 victory over Aneika Henry�s Antakya club, totaling 11` points and eight rebounds in just 22 minutes. In seven Turkish League games, Lyttle is averaging 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds for Galatasaray, who remains in first place with a 16-1 record.

Angel McCoughtry � Fenerbahce (Turkey): Fenerbahce won twice last week, earning a EuroLeague victory and a Turkish League victory. On Jan. 22 in the EuroLeague, McCoughtry scored a team-high 15 points with seven boards, two assists and two steals as Fenerbahce improved to 7-0 in Group C with a 57-53 victory over UNIQA Euroleasing Sopron. McCoughtry is now averaging 17.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.3 steals in EuroLeague games. On Jan. 25 during a 67-57 win over Kayseri in the Turkish League, McCoughtry collected team highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds while adding two steals. She is now averaging 15.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.8 assists in 13 Turkish League games for Fenerbahce, who sits one game behind league-leading Galatasaray with a record of 15-2.

Le'Coe Willingham � Conquero (Spain): Willingham played in her third game for Conquero on Jan. 24, coming off the bench to grab two rebounds with an assist during a 64-48 loss to Bembibre that dropped her team�s record to 6-8 in the Spanish League. Willingham is averaging 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds since joining Conquero.
