Erika de Souza Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife won its second game in as many tries with a 69-56 victory over Maranhao on Jan. 27, with de Souza contributing 17 points and seven rebounds in 29 minutes. She made seven of her nine two-point field goal attempts and three-of-four free throws. In two games, de Souza is averaging 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds.
Tiffany Hayes Besiktas (Turkey): Hayes will join Armintie Price on the Turkish League team Besiktas later this week. She had been playing for Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion of Israel, but left that team earlier in January. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion was 2-8 at the time of her departure, with Hayes averaging 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 steals in the 10 games.
Aneika Henry Rivas Ecopolis (Spain): Rivas Ecopolis improved to 6-4 and third place in Group A of the EuroLeague with a 67-50 win against IMOS Brno on Jan. 23. Henry had 15 points and eight rebounds, and is now averaging 12.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in 10 EuroLeague games. In the Spanish League, Rivas Ecopolis escaped with a 63-61 victory over Argon Uni Girona on Jan. 26 to improve to 12-1. Henry had seven points and a game-high 14 rebounds, and is now averaging 9.4 points and 7.9 boards in Spanish League games.
Laurie Koehn Logan Thunder (Australia): The Logan Thunder improved to 8-12 with a 54-47 victory over the West Coast Waves on Jan. 27. Koehn had a rough shooting night, making just one of her 10 three-point attempts while finishing with seven points, three assists and two boards. Koehn is still averaging a team-best 15.2 points in 17 games, and has made 61-of-142 three-pointers (43.0 percent).
Cathrine Kraayeveld Shinhan Bank (South Korea): Kraayeveld did not play as Shinhan Bank returned to action following a lengthy break with a pair of losses that dropped the teams record to 17-10 in the South Korean League. In her 15 games with the team, Kraayeveld is averaging 14.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
Yelena Leuchanka Liaoning (China): Leuchanka has not played with Liaoning, which is 14-8 in the Chinese League, since Christmas Day. In her 18 games with the club, she averaged 17.7 points and 9.1 rebounds.
Sancho Lyttle Galatasaray (Turkey): Galatasaray improved to 9-2 to remain in second place in Group C of the EuroLeague with a 68-56 win over Perfumerias on Jan. 23. Lyttle totaled 16 points, eight rebounds and six steals in the victory, and is now averaging 11.2 points, 7.6 boards and 2.5 steals in 11 EuroLeague games. Galatasaray also improved to 13-2 in the Turkish League with an easy 87-38 victory over Samsun on Jan. 26. Lyttle chipped in eight points, five rebounds and five steals in just 16 minutes off the bench, and now averages 10.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.5 steals in the 15 Turkish League games.
Angel McCoughtry Fenerbahce (Turkey): Fenerbahce improved to 8-2 and a tie for first place in Group B of the EuroLeague with an 81-75 victory over Arras on Jan. 23. McCoughtry totaled 17 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, and is now averaging 14.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 10 EuroLeague games. In the Turkish League, Fenerbahce lost for the first time in 15 games, falling to Mersin by a score of 81-75 on Jan. 26. McCoughtry tallied 13 points and six rebounds off the bench, and is now averaging team highs of 14.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 12 Turkish League games.
Armintie Price Besiktas (Turkey): Price helped lead Besiktas to its second straight victory after an 0-14 start, as her team defeated Ceyhan Bld 92-77 on Jan. 26. Price started and played 38 minutes, collecting 10 points, fire rebounds, four assists and four steals. In her first three games with the club, Price is averaging 14.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.3 assists.
