Overseas Update - Dec. 10

The following is an update on how Atlanta Dream players fared in games over the past week with their overseas teams. You can find links to all of their teams web pages and get more detailed information by clicking here.

Erika de Souza  Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife has not yet begun its season.

Tiffany Hayes  Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (Israel): Hayes team has not played since the last update. She is averaging 18.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.3 steals in four games this season.

Aneika Henry  Rivas Ecopolis (Spain): Rivas Ecopolis slipped to 3-3 in the EuroLeague with a 70-68 loss on Dec. 5 to a Spartak squad that includes Seimone Augustus, Becky Hammon and Candice Dupree. Henry was her teams top player, totaling team highs of 15 points and nine rebounds, and is now averaging 10.2 points and 8.8 boards in six EuroLeague games. On Dec. 8, Henry helped Rivas Ecopolis improve to 9-0 in the Spanish League with a 63-42 win over Bembibre. She had six points and pulled down 11 rebounds in just 22 minutes, and now averages 8.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in the Spanish League.

Laurie Koehn  Logan Thunder (Australia): The Logan Thunder dropped to 4-8 in the Australian League with an 85-72 loss to Townsville on Dec. 7. Koehn scored 12 points, all coming on three-pointers as she made 4-of-6 from behind the arc, while also adding eight rebounds. Koehn is now averaging a team-best 16.1 points in nine games, and has made 35-of-72 three-pointers (48.6 percent).

Logan Thunder Australian League stats

Cathrine Kraayeveld  Shinhan Bank (South Korea): Shinhan Bank improved to 12-4 with an 81-64 victory over One FX on Dec. 8 to pull within half a game of first place in the South Korean League. Kraayeveld played 24 minutes, scoring 12 points while adding seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks. In her first six games with the team, Kraayeveld is averaging 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

Yelena Leuchanka  Liaoning (China): Liaoning lost twice last week to slip to to 7-6 in the Chinese League. During an 80-66 loss to Beijing on Dec. 4, Leuchanka played limited minutes, scoring four points while sinking both of her field goal attempts. In an 87-80 loss to Shenyang on Dec. 8, she shared the team scoring lead with 21 points while pulling down a whopping 19 rebounds, which was 70 percent of her teams rebounds for the game (27). For the season, she is averaging 15.4 points and 7.1 rebounds in 13 games for Liaoning.

Sancho Lyttle  Galatasaray (Turkey): Galatasaray dropped a close battle of unbeaten teams in EuroLeague action last week, falling to a UMMC Ekaterinburg team that includes Candace Parker, Diana Taurasi and Deanna Nolan by a score of 71-70 to slip to 5-1. Lyttle collected 11 points and eight rebounds in the loss, and is now averaging 11.7 points, 7.8 boards and 2.0 steals in EuroLeague games. Galatasaray improved to 7-1 in the Turkish League with a 71-56 victory over Canik Bld on Dec. 8. Lyttle recorded a double-double, totaling 14 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and three assists. She is averaging 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in eight Turkish League games.

Angel McCoughtry  Fenerbahce (Turkey): Fenerbahce fell to 4-2 in Group B in the EuroLeague with a 74-69 loss to first-place Famila Schio on Dec. 6. McCoughtry had a team high 17 points and added five rebounds and three steals, and is now averaging 15.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.2 assists in EuroLeague games. She did not play as Fenerbahce improve to 8-0 in the Turkish League with a 78-55 win over Samsun on Dec. 9. She averages team highs of 18.0 points and 8.2 rebounds in five Turkish League games.
