Dream Releases Guard Ivory Latta

ATLANTA, March 22, 2010 - The Atlanta Dream released guard Ivory Latta today.

"On behalf of our entire organization, I would like to thank Ivory for her contributions on and off the court," said Dream General Manager & Head Coach Marynell Meadors. "Ivory has been an important part of this franchise since our inaugural season and we wish her the best in the future."

Latta, a 5-6 guard, appeared in 24 games for the Dream last season. She averaged 6.1 points and 1.4 assists per game. The eleventh overall pick in the 2007 WNBA Draft, Latta was acquired by the Dream in the 2008 WNBA Expansion Draft from the Detroit Shock. In her three-year WNBA career, Latta is averaging 7.0 points, 1.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

The Dream tips off its third season this summer at Philips Arena, with the home opener slated for May 16 against the Indiana Fever at 7 pm.
