Dream Holds Skills Academy Presented by Georgia Power in Henry County

ATLANTA, Nov. 25, 2013 � The Atlanta Dream partnered with Henry County Parks and Recreation and People First of Henry County to conduct an Atlanta Dream Skills Academy presented by Georgia Power on Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Locust Grove Recreation Center in Locust Grove, Ga.

The clinic featured Dream guard Jasmine Thomas and was conducted for a group of special needs participants. People First of Henry County is a non-profit organization that works to provide social events for people with special needs.

Participants received special instruction from Thomas and Skills Academy staff, a Skills Academy t-shirt, a lower-level ticket to a future Atlanta Dream game and access to the Special Georgia Power Get Plugged In Q&A Session with Thomas.

Henry County Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of programming, family-friendly events and athletics. It offers fun and challenging programs and activities for people of all ages, ranging from the arts and dancing to music, exercise and organized sports.

The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream completed its sixth season in the Women�s National Basketball Association (WNBA) in 2013 with a trip to the WNBA Finals. The Dream has qualified for the playoffs in each of the past five seasons, including conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
