DREAM SIGNS MARLIES GIPSON TO TRAINING CAMP CONTRACT
- Gipson Reunited With Kansas State Teammate; Morrow Waived -

ATLANTA, May 12, 2009� The Atlanta Dream announced today the team has signed former Kansas State forward Marlies Gipson to a training camp contract. The team also waived guard/forward Jessica Morrow.

Gipson, a 6-0 forward, was a four-year starter at Kansas State where she helped the Wildcats to their eighth straight postseason appearance. A second-team All-Big 12 selection, Gibson averaged 13.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game as a senior. She finished the season ranked second on the team in scoring and rebounding. Gipson will be reunited with former Kansas State teammate Shalee Lehning, the Dream�s second round draft pick, in camp.

Morrow, a 6-0 guard/forward from Baylor, was drafted by the Dream in third round of the 2009 WNBA Draft with the 27th overall pick. She averaged 11.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game last season for the Lady Bears.

The Dream will tip off its second season on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 7 p.m. against the Indiana Fever.
