DREAM RAISES OVER $25,000 FOR AVON BREAST HEALTH CENTER AT GRADY

- "Dream Pink" game generates funds and promotes breast health awareness -

ATLANTA, August 11, 2011 The Atlanta Dream raised over $25,000 for the Avon Breast Health Center at Grady through the teams annual Dream Pink game in support of breast health awareness.

We are proud to partner with the Atlanta Dream to promote breast health awareness, said Adriene Kinnaird, director, Oncology Services, Georgia Cancer Center at Grady. This fundraiser exceeded our expectations, and we are especially grateful to all of the Atlanta Dream fans for their overwhelming support of the AVON Breast Health Center. This funding will enable us to provide much needed services for our patients.

Dream Pink presented by the Avon Breast Health Center at Grady was held on August 7 as the Dream defeated the Seattle Storm 70-53 in a re-match of last years WNBA Finals. Fans bid on items, including game-worn pink jerseys, autographed pink basketball shoes, team-signed memorabilia and more at the silent auction on the concourse during the game.

Immediately following the game, Lisa Borders, President of the Grady Health Foundation (www.gradyhealthfoundation.org), hosted a live auction with appearances by Dream players. The live auction included the top players authentic game-worn pink jerseys and unique fan experiences with Dream players, coaches and owners.

As a womens professional sports franchise, our players, coaches, staff and fans understand the importance of supporting women initiatives such as breast health awareness, said Atlanta Dream President & COO Toby Wyman. We are proud to know the funds raised through our partnership with the Avon Breast Health Center at Grady will make a direct impact on the lives of those patients and families who have been affected by breast cancer.

The Atlanta Dream is the defending Womens National Basketball Associations (WNBA) Eastern Conference Champion. The Dream plays 17 home games this summer at Philips Arena. The Dream host the Connecticut Sun on August 19 at 7:30 p.m., the Indiana Fever on August 30 at 7:30 p.m. and the Washington Mystics on September 2 at 7:30 p.m. For ticket information, visit www.AtlantaDream.net or call (877) 977-7729.
