Dream Conference Semifinals Schedule Set
ATLANTA, Sept. 20, 2012 � The Atlanta Dream will host the Indiana Fever at Philips Arena in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 4 p.m. ET, it was announced Wednesday night. The Dream will begin defense of its back-to-back Eastern Conference Championships on Friday, Sept. 28, in Indiana. Game one will start at 7 p.m. ET and will also be televised by ESPN2. The final game of the best-of-three series, if necessary, would take place in Indiana on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The time of that game will be determined later.
Atlanta has earned the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, while Indiana is the No. 2 seed. Indiana won the season series against Atlanta, three games to two, but Atlanta defeated the higher-seeded Fever in last year�s Eastern Conference Finals. The Dream reached the WNBA Finals as a No. 3 seed in 2011, and was the East�s No. 4 seed in 2010.
It will mark the fourth consecutive playoff appearance for Atlanta, and the Dream will be playing the only other Eastern Conference team that has reached the playoffs every year since 2009.
Atlanta has won six of its last seven games to improve its overall record to 18-14. The Dream closes the regular season with a game at Connecticut � the East�s No. 1 seed � on Sunday.
The 2012 WNBA Playoffs presented by Boost Mobile begin Sept. 27, with Connecticut playing New York in the other Eastern Conference semifinal, and San Antonio playing at Los Angeles in one Western Conference Semifinal. Seattle opens its series at Minnesota on Sept. 28 in the other Western Conference showdown.
